If you have ever read a novel by Colleen Hoover, you know that she writes new adult romances. Her books are about love, friendship, loss, forgiveness. Her books make you laugh out loud, cry, scream, swoon. Colleen loves to insert huge plot twist that leave the readers shocked. Her books are beautifully written and her characters (at least most of them 😉 ) are kind and lovable. So if you think you get yet another one of those books, then you are totally wrong! Too Late is about everything Colleen’s other books lack of. This book is definitely for mature readers only.
Colleen started to write this story back in 2012 on Wattpad. Whenever she had time she added another chapter. When she was on her European booktour in March/April 2016, Colleen started to add chapters on a more regular basis. She would sometimes add one chapter a day, sometimes multiple chapters a day and sometimes even no chapters at all. You never knew when she would publish a new one. By this time, Colleen had created the “Too Late Discussion Group” on Facebook. The number of members grew day by day – it was insane! Whenever Colleen updated a new chapter there were at least 20 people who posted “New chapter!” at the same time.
As I mentioned above, this story is so unlike Colleen. It will make you cringe and scream. It will leave you shocked and speechless.
The story got crazier and more shocking with each chapter. The anticipation about new chapter updates was insane. Readers were begging Colleen to update the story already because they couldn’t stand to wait any longer! Toward the end of the story my facebook feed consisted of posts from the “Too Late Discussion Group” only. That’s how GREAT this story was! I am pretty sure that the frequent chapter updates, the anticipation for new chapters and the people in the “Too Late Discussion Group” made the story even better.
Love is not found. Love finds. […] Love finds you in the forgiveness at the tail end of a fight. Love finds you in the empathy you feel for someone else. Love finds you in the embrace that follows a tragedy. Love finds you in the celebration after the conquering of an illness. Love finds you in the devestation after the surrender to an illness.
Too Late is a unique story with triple POV. And the best thing: you can read it for free on Wattpad! 🙂
