The Foxe & the Hound – Shared Review

When my fellow Texan, R.S. Grey, releases a new book, I am always eager to read it. Her books always happen to come out at a great time for me, though when is there a bad time to read a book by her? I know her stories will make me laugh, because they are always witty, fun, and light. The latest release by Grey is no exception. The Foxe & the Hound picks up with Daisy’s best friend, Madeline, from Anything You Can Do. Remember her endearly crappy car? Things haven’t changed much for Madeline, she still has the old beater, her appliances don’t work, and she’s a struggling real estate agent living in tiny rental apartment.

I love when previous characters make an appearance in an author’s new book. It makes me instantly attached to the new story as a reader. This was a wonderful and unexpected surprise because Anything You Can Do was such a fun read for me. Continue reading “The Foxe & the Hound – Shared Review”

The Foxe & The Hound by R.S. Grey – Cover Reveal

We are so excited to reveal the gorgeous cover of R.S. Grey’s next release, THE FOXE & THE HOUND! This romantic comedy releases June 1st. See the cover and find out more about THE FOXE & THE HOUND below!

About THE FOXE & THE HOUND

When your life is a hot mess at twenty, it’s cute. At twenty-seven…well, not so much.

It’s just that my lofty dreams—making it as a real estate agent, paying rent on time, showering daily—have stayed just that: dreams. Oh, and love? I’ve decided love might be a little ambitious for me at the moment. Instead, I’ve settled for the two guys who will never leave me: Ben & Jerry.

That is, until Dr. Adam Foxe takes up residence as the town’s new vet.

With his strong jaw, easy confidence, and form-fitting scrubs, it’s not long before every housewife in Hamilton is dragging neglected tomcats in for weekly checkups.

Like everyone else, I’m intrigued. Even after I spoil my chance at a good first impression, he still offers me a proposition I can’t refuse: play his girlfriend at a family function and he’ll hire me as his real estate agent. Welcome to love in the 21st century.

It’s too bad I underestimated Adam’s irresistible charm and the undeniable attraction that burns between us. The day he pins me to the wall and silences me with a kiss, the line between reality and ruse begins to blur. Every teasing touch brings me to my knees. Every kiss promises more.

It looks like my hot mess of a life is about to get a little hotter.

With this Heart – Review

img_7091-updatedWith this Heart is a standalone novel by R.S. Grey released in 2014.
Up until a few months ago, Abby was sick. So sick that she was about to die. But fortunately she had her lucky stars on her side and was given a second chance at life. And why not start this second chance with an epic road trip? What she didn’t expect was Beck, the good-looking and charming stranger she met in one of the oddest places to ever meet someone. Beck didn’t take no for an answer and just invited himself along. Abby’s initial apprehension toward Beck coming along faded quickly, because what could go wrong when you have a hot guy as your road trip partner? Continue reading “With this Heart – Review”

A Place in the Sun – Shared Review

a-place-in-the-sun

When authors write romance, I feel like they are trying to achieve what R.S. Grey just accomplished with A Place in the Sun.  I could not put this book down—it was everything!  A beautiful location- check, likeable characters- check, slow build- check, drama without being overly dramatic- check, happily ever after- check! This book touched on all of my favorite things in a novel.  I absolutely love British characters because their way of speaking is so intriguing and fun for me to read or listen to, and I can’t get enough of European locations, especially ones like Vernazza.   Grey did such an amazing job of describing the Italian city, that when I Googled pictures after reading it looked exactly as I had pictured it in my mind.  Only a great writer can describe a location so effortlessly without being overly descriptive and boring.  Also, can we all give a round of applause to R.S. Grey for being such an accomplished writer at the age of 26? Sabrina and I are both amazed with her talent and achievements, being that she is the same age as we are! Way to go, girl!
